WA Chapter Nomination Due:

Directions for Submitting: Download the Nomination Form / Supporting Data Form and Photo Worksheet . Submit online above with up to 10 images. 

Supporting documentation is limited to 20 pages, excluding photos and forms. Photographs will be used for promotional purposes by the association. No letters of recommendation please as they will not be considered. Simultaneous nomination of the same project in two categories is not permitted.

Eligibility: To be eligible for nomination, a project must have been "substantially completed" and available for public/agency use within two calendar years prior to nomination. If a project has multiple phases or segments, then "substantially completed"  will be construed to mean the when the intial phase or segment is 90% complete and available to the public/agency for use.

These awards recognize excellence in management and administration to successfully complete public works projects. Awards fall into five categories listed below, with dollar volume differentials (Less than $5M, <$25M, $25M - $75M, >$75M) within each category:


  • Emergency/Disaster Preparedness
  • Environment
  • Historical Restoration/Preservation
  • Structures
  • Transportation

National Submissions: Submitting to the National APWA Project of the must be done separately from the WA state chapter.
