Diversity Pledge Challenge Ends July 31, 2019, Chapters Participating Announced at PWX-2019
On behalf of the Washington Chapter of the American Public Works Association, we would like to invite your APWA Chapter to participate in a National Diversity Pledge Challenge. We are inviting all 67 APWA Chapters to participate in the Challenge. The purpose of the National challenge is to increase awareness of the business benefits of practicing Diversity, Inclusion, and Respect.
The challenge is simple. In order to participate, all you have to do is get as many of your members as possible to sign a diversity pledge poster at your next Chapter Conference. The National Challenge will end July 31, 2019 and the names of the chapters that participate in the challenge and the number of members who sign pledge posters will be announced at PWX-2019 in Seattle.
To join the challenge, send us an email notifying us that you would like to participate. Then send us a photo of your signed pledge poster with the number of signatures after your conference. Design your own poster or download one below.
Included in the photo are Executive Director Scott Grayson, President Elect Jill Marilley, National Board Member at Large Kathleen Davis, Director of Government Affairs Andrea Eales, Keynote Speaker Angela Ruggiero for a total of 230 diversity champions.
