The Opportunity: The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) Bridge Preservation Office is looking to fill a Bridge Geometry Engineer vacancy in Tumwater, WA. This position is responsible for the accuracy and completeness of bridge geometric data, with particular emphasis on the vertical and horizontal clearances for state highways on and under these bridges. The incumbent will then translate this data into a useful format for public consumption, mainly for the military and trucking industry. This information is currently achieved with the Bridge List publication M23-09 and the Bridge Vertical Clearance Trip Planner. This position plays a key role in operating the state's transportation system safely and efficiently.
