Learn from one of Washington State's SYNC teams on Value Planning. SYNC is a collaboration of the Public Works Board, Department of Health, Department of Ecology and Department of Commerce.  Why? Because Value Planning process develops infrastructure projects that maximize value. We all know that some items are out of our control but in this webinar hone in on the items that you can control including: choosing the right project, identifying key activities and stakeholders and most importantly gaining clarity on your real problems. The session will delve into brainstorming, whole life-cycle cost.

Panelists: 

David Dunn, Financial Programs Engineer, Department of Ecology

David works with the financial assistance section of the of the Department's Water Quality Program. They administer the State and Federal grant and subsidized loan programs to finance waste water treatment and storm water infrastructure. He is responsible for setting policy, coordinating engineering reviews of funded projects, and ensuring that state and federal requirements are met on these projects. 

Janet Cherry, Drinking Water State Revolving Fund Supervisor, Department of Health

Ms. Cherry has over 30 years of experience in both the private and public sector. Ms. Cherry is a licensed professional engineer in the states of Washington and California. She has spent half her career as a consultant and designing water and wastewater systems.  In the public sector, Ms. Cherry has worked for two state drinking water programs as a regional engineer.  She currently supervises the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund program for State of Washington.

Buck Lucas, Policy & Data Manager, Department of Commerce

The Public Works Board responds to critical local government infrastructure needs with construction, pre-construction, and emergency loans. Buck is the Lead Staff to Sync, Washington State's infrastructure system improvement team. He specializes in policy development, data management, fiscal analysis of legislation as well as communications and external engagement.
